Happy Birthday Party, Grace!

Although I still CAN'T BELIEVE that Grace is turning 2, I could not let my denial of the inevitable infringe upon my party planning...so, we decided to celebrate this amazing birthday at the Children's Museum of the Arts in Soho (see Sadaf's blog if you need the link to that one!) for a fun day of old friends (and they are old, I tell ya!)...

young friends...

picture frame making...

and best of all -- birthday cake...

As you can see, Mommy and Daddy still can't believe their eyes. Their tiny baby is TWO!!

Day II Was a Bruiser

It all started out so perfectly...

Art project on new art table with cool new paint set ...

Being the art fanatic that she is, Grace was ecstatic...

And then - fat, bloody lip...

That's right folks. Mommy decided to do a bang up (no pun intended) rendition of "The Wheels on the Bus" with Grace's favorite sound effects and the toy bus went flying across her face landing perfectly on her bottom lip. And do you know what she said??? "I'm sorry. It's okay." Ugh!

Can't wait to see what this new SAHM does on Day III.

She's a Frog

Check out Grace's new froggie towel. Grace has been a very unhappy camper these days when it's time to get out of the tub. So, thanks to Grandma & Grandpa for providing her with some inspiration to get warm and dry!

Aww... (can you believe she'll be TWO in one week??)

Row, Row, Row Your Boat

Like most New Yorkers, Grace, Brandon and I celebrated the record breaking 72 degrees on Saturday by heading outside. From reading this blog, you all know that one of our favorite outdoor destinations in the city is, of course, Central Park.

And what better way to spend a nice warm day to a couple of Floridians?

On the water, of course!

First we have to stop under a covered bridge for our obligatory photo op:

Then Grace channels here inner Lennon on the Imagine sign:

Finally it's time to soak in some true nature on the water...

There were ducks, swans, turtles and lots of New Yorkers that resembled wildlife. We had a great day!!

Christmas with Good Friends

There was Jordan (and Elmo)...

There was Brandon (still waking up) and Mina looking bright-eyed and ready for her presents...

There were doll houses...

And gingerbread houses...

What a way to celebrate the season!

Presents!

Thank you Santa! And Santa's little elves!
