Our Trip to the Tri-State Area

New York City here we come!



Being the true New Yorker that she is, Grace hailed us a cab at LaGuardia:



Since when are there tvs in taxi cabs?



At least some things never change. Our New Jersey monkeys are still fabulous and definitely know how to show us a good time!








Here we are at a very cool park in Jersey...



And here we are at the park of all parks, Central Park, splashing in the sprinklers and having the ultimate summer city day...











Here we are having an impromptu pizza party smack dab in the middle of Central Park. Someone even leashed their dog until we were through eating. Aren't New Yorkers the best?!



I think Miss Mina enjoyed it most of all!



What better way to top off some good and greasy pizza than with a Mister Softee?



And then it was off to the Hamptons where "pretty" becomes a way of life...



There were pretty dresses...





And pretty things...




Pretty restaurants with gorgeous views...



Followed by playtime on the pretty beach with our very beautiful and hilarious cousins (here they are doing yoga poses on the deck and more!)...














And nothing says NY like a Tasti D-Lite while watching the fireworks...



Unfortunately, due to some camera troubles we were unable to photograph much of the trip so the memories will have to do, but let me assure you we had a spectacular time visiting old friends and family, eating great food and just being in the city that still holds our heart. Thanks to everyone who hosted the Perkins family with their many quirks! Please come and visit so that we may return the favor!!
